“I had a fall at home resulting in an intracranial hemorrhage that brought me into the Nursing Home.” Marge reported for the first 3-4 days after falling at home she had a hard time remembering anything.  She said that she can’t complain about her care at the Nursing Home, that the workers were their to help as soon as she needed them.  Marge loved therapy and never complained once.  She reported therapy helped her our so much, stating, “If you don’t work your not going to get anywhere.”

She enjoyed going to therapy and getting out of her room and interacting with others.  When Marge came in she was an assist of one for mobility and transfers due to weakness and decreased balance.  She required assist of one for all ADLs as well.  She is now independent with mobility and transfers using her walker around her room.  She is independent with all ADLs as well.  Marge reported “being afraid of what the future holds but wants to go home and care for herself as much as she can.

“I’ve been at home for 60 some years and it’s a good place to finish out my years.”
